The California Shakespeare Theatre, in the hills of Orinda, California, exhibited three works for the 2019 summer season.

ABOUT

Colin Selig's sculpting practice is focused on creating climate conscious site elements for public and commercial spaces. His biomorphic sculptures are whimsical and designed for human interaction. His bench designs include contemporary riffs on furniture from Victorian and Mid Century eras. .

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

PROCESS

Regionally sourced salvage steel propane tanks are carefully dissected and the pieces reassembled, with no additional reshaping of the material, an eco-friendly process with a minimal carbon footprint that produces durable objects which contain 99% post-consumer reused content.
